During the Dutch Design Week, Oscar nominated and International Emmy Kids Award winning creative studio Job, Joris & Marieke will present a special solo exhibition ' Unrestrained Playful Animation' in Natlab. A display of their worldwide beloved oeuvre. Their animations tell absurd stories in which often one surreal element creates the story engine.

In this Mastertalk Job, Joris & Marieke will take us on a journey in their world full of impossible events and absurdist scenarios. They will talk about their workprocess, inspirations and show us their work.

The Mastertalk is in English and includes drinks at BROET afterwards.

Job, Joris & Marieke, the name of the studio is simple and to the point. And their animations? Maybe you can say the same, topped with a massive dose of playful creativity. When the three met during their studies at Design Academy Eindhoven they discovered their mutual love of telling stories. However, they also realized that Product Design was not the right discipline to carry their stories. Luckily there was the world of animation. Because they are not traditional animators, they can break with tradition. This resonates with their unrestrained and playful view on animation.

Tijdens de Dutch Design Week, presenteren Oscar genomineerde en International Emmy Kids Award winnaars Studio Job, Joris & Marieke hun wereldwijd geliefde oeuvre in de expositie: 'Unrestrained Playfull Animation' in Natlab. Hun animaties vertalen absurde verhalen waarin een surreëel element de drijvende kracht van het verhaal is.

In deze Mastertalk nemen Job, Joris en Marieke ons mee op reis naar hun wereld vol onmogelijke gebeurtenissen en absurdistische scenario's. We krijgen een kijkje in de keuken van het werkproces, hun inspiratie en gaan veel zien.

Job, Joris & Marieke, de naam van de studio is simpel en recht voor zijn raap. En hun animaties? Daar kun je misschien wel hetzelfde voor zeggen, maar dan met een enorme dosis aan speelse creativiteit. Toen de drie elkaar ontmoetten tijdens hun studie aan Design Academy Eindhoven kwamen ze achter hun gedeelde liefde voor het vertellen van verhalen. Ook ontdekten ze dat Product Design niet de discipline was die hun verhalen kon dragen. Gelukkig was daar de wereld van animaties. Omdat ze geen traditionele animatoren zijn, kunnen ze ook breken met de tradities. Dit zorgt voor een grote onbevangenheid en speelse blik op animatie.
